Customer terms
The agreement for creating, approving and receiving a personalised book
These terms cover the website, creator, sample, printed books, digital PDF, proof process, delivery and support.

Who these terms are with
1. The trader and the customer
These terms are between you and My Colouring Pad.
Email: hello@mycolouringpad.com
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. Printed products are currently available for delivery to UK addresses. Any restriction applying to a product is shown before checkout.
Please read these terms before ordering. The version provided with your order confirmation applies to that order.
The product
2. A personalised product made from customer-supplied photos
- Formats. Digital PDF, A5 printed book and A4 printed book. Current prices, photo limits and delivery choices are shown before checkout.
- Printed structure. Each source photo faces its matching colouring page. Printed books have at least 32 interior pages and include at least five blank drawing pages. Lulu-printed books also include a personalised bookplate and drawing note.
- Natural variation. Generated line art is an interpretation of the source photo. Cropping, line detail, screen display and printed appearance may vary within reasonable production tolerances. Your complete private proof is the opportunity to review personalisation before printing.
- Product claims. Paper, colouring-tool and material-performance claims apply only where stated on the product page and supported by the current production specification or testing.
Photos and permitted use
3. Only upload material you are authorised to use
You confirm that you own each uploaded photo or have all permission and authority needed to use it for this personalised product, including appropriate permission concerning every person shown and particular care for children’s photos.
You may select or upload photos before completing the permission confirmation. We do not allow a sample to be created, photos to be saved to a book or checkout to continue until you confirm that permission.
Do not upload illegal, abusive, exploitative, infringing or otherwise prohibited material. Automated checks or a human review may refuse processing, and support may ask for a suitable replacement. You keep your rights in the supplied photos and give us a limited licence to process, store, transform, reproduce and share them only as needed to create, support and fulfil your order.
Sample, payment and full generation
4. One sample before checkout; complete pages only after payment
One preview sample may be created from the first photo. Changing the format or reopening the draft does not provide another free sample.
The complete book, proof PDF and production files remain locked until WooCommerce confirms payment. A delayed or failed sample does not authorise unpaid complete generation.
Your order is accepted when payment is confirmed and we issue an order confirmation, subject to fraud, content, technical and availability checks. If we cannot accept the order, we will cancel the payment or refund it.
Prices and offers
5. The total shown at checkout applies
The book price, promotional saving, taxes where applicable and delivery charge are shown before payment. Adding more photos within the allowed limit does not change the current book price. A later price or offer change does not alter a completed order.
Under the current 3-for-2 offer, the lowest-priced eligible printed book in each set of three is free. A5 and A4 printed books qualify; PDFs and delivery do not. Coupon codes cannot be combined with the offer.
Private proof and approval
6. Review the complete paid book before printing
The review period begins only when every paid page has passed validation and the complete private proof is released. New projects receive 72 hours to review, with reminders after 24 and 66 hours. If no revision, guarantee request, cancellation, refund or operator exception is open, the proof may be approved automatically at the deadline so production can continue.
One book-wide revision round is included. Submit every affected page and note together. Page count and order remain fixed. Release of the revised proof starts a new review period.
Check names, titles, cover details, page order, cropping and generated pages carefully. Your approval, eligible automatic approval or print-provider acceptance ends the voluntary pre-print proof guarantee. It does not remove rights for a product that is faulty, damaged, missing or not as described.
Proof guarantee
7. A pre-print backstop for suitable photos
Before approval or print handoff, you may open a proof-guarantee request if an acceptable proof cannot be produced from suitable photos. Production pauses while support reviews the complete project and may provide the included revision or an additional goodwill correction.
If the problem remains unresolved, we will cancel and refund the complete order before printing. This voluntary guarantee is additional to your statutory rights.
Printing and delivery
8. Delivery estimates begin after proof approval
Available Standard and Express UK services, prices and working-day estimates are shown at checkout. The chosen tier is recorded on the order and mapped to a qualifying traceable provider service.
We do not silently downgrade Express delivery. If no qualifying Express service is available before printing, the order pauses while you choose a slower approved service with the Express surcharge refunded, or cancel for a full refund.
Arrival dates are estimates unless checkout expressly guarantees a date. We are responsible for the product until it is delivered to the address you supplied. Contact support promptly about a missing, damaged or incorrectly supplied order.
Cancellation and returns
9. Personalised print and digital supply have different rules
Personalised printed books. The statutory 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right does not apply to goods made to your specification or clearly personalised. Contact us immediately if you want to cancel. We may agree a voluntary cancellation while it is still possible to stop personalisation or production.
Digital PDFs. We will begin digital supply within the 14-day cancellation period only after checkout has recorded your express request to begin early and your acknowledgement that the cancellation right will be lost when supply begins. Once supply begins after that request and acknowledgement, you lose the change-of-mind cancellation right. If we do not collect that record, we will not rely on a loss of the cancellation right.
These rules do not affect your rights where goods or digital content are faulty, damaged, missing or not as described. See our Refunds and Returns Policy.
Intellectual property
10. Your photos remain yours
You keep the rights you already have in uploaded photos. We and our licensors retain rights in the website, brand, templates, design elements, software and non-customer assets.
The finished personalised product and digital PDF are supplied for personal, non-commercial use by you and the intended recipient. They may not be resold, commercially distributed or used to provide a competing service unless we agree in writing.
Service availability and liability
11. Fair responsibility for foreseeable loss
We may pause the service for maintenance, security, legal compliance, capacity or provider issues. If an event outside our reasonable control delays an accepted order, we will contact you, take reasonable steps to reduce the delay and explain your options where the delay is substantial.
We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for avoidable loss caused by inaccurate information, unsuitable photos or delivery details supplied by you; unauthorised sharing of a private link; or business loss arising from a product supplied for personal use.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.
Privacy
12. Photos and personal information
We handle photos and personal information as described in our Privacy Policy and Photo and Data Retention Policy. Your photos are not used to train AI models.
Problems and complaints
13. Contact us so we can investigate
Email hello@mycolouringpad.com with your order number, a clear description of the problem and any photographs reasonably needed to show damage or a print fault. Do not email payment-card details or a private proof token.
We will review the complaint fairly and explain the proposed remedy. Nothing in this process prevents you from using any statutory or alternative dispute route available to you.
General legal terms
14. Changes, transfer, severance and third-party rights
We may update these terms for future orders. We may transfer our rights and obligations under an order to another organisation only where this does not reduce your rights. You may transfer your rights only with our written agreement, except where the law permits otherwise.
If a court finds part of these terms unlawful, the remaining terms continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a term does not waive it. No person other than you and us has a right to enforce these terms.
Governing law
15. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you keep any mandatory consumer protections provided by the law where you live. You may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live, and we may bring proceedings only in a court that the law permits.
